Il était jusqu’ici nonce au Bangladesh. Le poste était vacant depuis la nomination de Mgr Christophe Pierre au Mexique en mars dernier. Mgr Paul Tschang In-Nam est né à Séoul en 1949. Il a été ordonné prêtre en 1976. Jean-Paul II lui a conféré lui-même l’ordination épiscopale à Rome, à l’Epiphanie, quelques mois avant sa mort, le 6 janvier 2003, après l’avoir nommé au Bangladesh. Il est titulaire d’une maîtrise en théologie et il est au service de la diplomatie du Saint-Siège depuis 1985. |
