Burundi : Mgr Franco Coppola nommé nonce apostoliqueROME, Jeudi 16 juillet 2009 (ZENIT.org) - Le pape Benoît XVI a nommé Mgr Franco Coppola, 52 ans, nonce apostolique au Burundi. Il l’élève à la dignité d’archevêque. Il était jusqu’ici conseiller de nonciature en poste à la secrétairerie d’Etat. Mgr Caccia a été ordonné prêtre en 1981, pour le diocèse d’Otrante, sur l’Adriatique, et il a une maîtrise en droit canon. Il est entré au service de la diplomatie du Saint-Siège en 1993, et a été en poste au Liban, puis déjà au Burundi, en Colombie, en Pologne et au Vatican. Anita S. Bourdin |
