Japon : Mgr Chenmoth nommé nonce apostolique28641 ROME, Mardi 16 août 2011 (ZENIT.org)– Mgr Joseph Chenmoth, prêtre indien de67 ans, de l’Église syro-malabare, a été nommé nonce apostolique au Japon ce lundi 15 août. Archevêque titulaire de Milevi, il était nonce en Tanzanie depuis 2005. Il succède à Mgr Alberto Bottari de Castello, nommé nonce en Hongrie le 6 juin dernier. Né en 1943 à Kockamangalam, Mgr Chenmoth a été ordonné prêtre en 1969, à l’âge de 25 ans, pour l’Eglise syro-malabare.
