Le card. Ivan Dias nommé préfet de l’Evangélisation des PeuplesRome, Dimanche 21 mai 2006 (ZENIT.org) – Le pape Benoît XVI a nommé le cardinal Ivan Dias comme nouveau préfet de la congrégation pur l’Evangélisation des Peuples. Le cardinal Dias était jusqu’ici archevêque de Bombay, en Inde. Il est né en 1936. Il a été, entre 1973 et 1982, chef de section à la secrétairerie d’Etat avant de devenir pro-nonce apostolique au Ghana, au Togo et au Bénin. Entre 1987 et 1991 il a ensuite était pro-nonce en Corée du Sud, et de 1991 à 1997 nonce en Albanie. Il a été créé cardinal par Jean-Paul II en février 2001. |
